Daily Gratitude 5-15-26

May 15th, 2026

  • I am grateful for the abundance of life that surrounds me.
  •  recognize the infinite possibilities the universe presents, and I give thanks to every one of them.
  • I am thankful to my parents for all that they taught me. I know that they did the very best they could with the skills they acquired while navigating their own generational traumas.
  • I come to my partner, Neil, with peace today. I am ready and willing to support, nurture, and grow our special relationship together.
  • I love myself exactly as I am. I can love where I am now, even if I’m still working toward growth and transformation.

#30 Hurt So Bad (The Lettermen) 👍🏼

Lyrics:
I know you, don’t know
What I’m goin’ through
Standing here lookin’ at you🪄
Well let me tell you that it hurts so bad
It makes me feel so sad
It makes me hurt so bad to see you again🪄
Like needles and pins people say
You’ve been making out okay
She’s in love don’t stand in her way🪄
But let me tell you that it hurts so bad
It makes me feel so bad
It’s gonna hurt so bad if you walk away🪄
Why don’t you stay and let me make it up to you?
Stay I’ll do anything you want me to
You loved me before, please love me again
I can’t let you go back to him, please don’t go, please don’t go🪄
It hurts so bad, come back it hurts so bad
Come back it hurts so bad, I’m begging you please🪄
Please don’t go, please don’t go
It hurts so bad, come back it hurts so bad
Come back it hurts so bad

Progress, Not Perfection

“Perfectionism is self-abuse of the highest order.”

Anne Wilson Schaef (American Clinical Psychologist & Author; March 22nd, 1934 to January 19th, 2020)

“How much of our lives is frittered away—spoiled, spent, or sullied—by our neurotic insistence on perfection?”

“Today, accept, that perfection is unattainable. In real life we should strive to be our best—not the world’s.”

“Perfection leaves so little room for improvement. So little space for acceptance—or joy. On the path we have chosen, progress is the simple pleasure to be savored. Daily.”

“I have what I lnow is a particular way of things, and it it not perfect. What is perfect anyways?”
