Daily Gratitude 4-4-26

  • I appreciate being able to have an early morning grocery shopping excursion with my husband so we could retreat to our home for the day’s festivities.
  • I am grateful for the local donut shop having my favorite chocolate bar to enjoy with my morning coffee.
  • I am thankful to be able to watch the Gunners play, even though I thought their game was shitty.
  • I am blessed to have a husband who loves me so completely I have no, “Yeah buts…” EVER.
  • I am so grateful to be enjoying fiancé #3 with the man I love endlessly.”

#88 Do You Know the Way to San Jose (Dionne Warwick) 👍🏼

Lyrics:
Do you know the way to San Jose?
I’ve been away so long
I may go wrong and lose my way
Do you know the way to San Jose?
I’m going back to find some peace of mind in San Jose🪄
LA is a great big freeway
Put a hundred down and buy a car
In a week, maybe two, they’ll make you a star
Weeks turn into years, how quick they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas🪄
You can really breathe in San Jose
They’ve got a lot of space
There’ll be a place where I can stay
I was born and raised in San Jose
I’m going back to find some peace of mind in San Jose🪄
Fame and fortune is a magnet
It can pull you far away from home
With a dream in your heart you’re never alone
Dreams turn into dust and blow away
And there you are without a friend
You park your car and ride away🪄
I’ve got lots of friends in San Jose
Do you know the way to San Jose?🪄
Oh, LA is a great big freeway
Put a hundred down and buy a car
In a week, maybe two, they’ll make you a star
Weeks turn into years, how quick they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas🪄
I’ve got lots of friends in San Jose
Oh, do you know the way to San Jose?
Can’t wait to get back to San Jose

An Elegant Art: Learning That Less Is More

“For me, elegance is not to pass unnoticed but to get to the very soul of what one is.”

Christian Lacroix (French Fashion Designer; May 16th, 1951)

“…less is more.”

Robert Browning (English Poet and Playwright; May 7th, 1812 to December 12th, 1889)

“Elegance is the art of restraint.”

“What sets an elegant woman apart from the crowd is her quiet self-assurance, she knows that she is what’s worth focusing on…”

“The only real elegance is in the mind; if you’ve got that, the rest really comes from it.”

Diana Vreeland (American Fashion Editor and Columnist; September 9, 1923 to August 22nd, 1989)

“I am returning from my native journey feeling more of my authentic power and with that the elegance of my roots. I am the elegant woman…sexy, hot, fun chic!”
