Lyrics: Cowboys to girls I remember when I used to play shoot ’em up (Shoot ’em up, bang, bang baby) I remember when I chased the girls and beat ’em up But I was young and didn’t understand But now I’m a grown up man I know girls are made for kissing Never knew what I was missing Now my life is not the same My whole world has been rearranged I went from (cowboy to girls) Oh yes I did (Cowboys to girls) I remember when I used to see you jumping rope (Jumping rope up and down baby) And I remember when you got your first baby coach But you were young and didn’t understand Now you’re a woman and I’m a man And it’s me that you’re kissing Ain’t it fun reminiscing Now our lives are not the same Our whole world has been rearranged You went from (pretty dolls to boys) Oh yes you did And I went from (cowboys to girls) Oh yes I did And it’s me that you’re kissing Ain’t it fun reminiscing And my life life is not the same This whole world has been rearranged I went from (cowboys to girls) Oh yes I did You went from (pretty dolls to boys) Oh yes I did I went from (cowboys to girls)

“…not only desolate with grief but bereft of purpose.”
Mary Henrietta Kingsley (English Ethnographer, Scientific Writer, and Explorer; October 3rd, 1862 ~ June 3rd, 1900)
“In Africa, to go on safari—the Swahili word for journey—is to leave the comfort and safety of civilization to venture into the wilderness. Each time you listen to the woman within—your authentic self—you do the same.
“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition…What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover will be yourself.”
Alan Alda (American Actor and Comedian; January 28th, 1936 ~ )
“Reading this today I found myself dreaming of adventure. Riding my motorcycle down the length of PCH. Going on a walk-about. Creating my own vision quest through my indigenous roots. Being free of debt to wander and explore would be glorious!” (Heather Houston 2-17-22)
“I find myself bereft with purpose in my career. I feel an urge to find my place in this world. Particularly since the life I lived for 30 years was far from authentic. I am not in a hurry, but feel a deep wanderlust inside me. My husband has been very supportive and offered for us to get our instruments out of storage to begin exploring our musical interests. I am game as I have not really focused on my music in years. I have spent the last 8-years on a safari of my authentic self and spirit. I yearn for new adventures to explore this beautiful world we inhabit. I am in action of this presently as I soon will be visiting Oklahoma City for an indigenous conference. This will be the first time I am able to sit and commune with people from my culture…Cherokee/Choctaw. I am beyond thrilled! I am hoping I will have time to also visit the town my grandfather and great grandparents resided to simply touch the earth of my ancestors. This is the exploration I am on.” (Heather Houston 2-17-26)

Lyrics: Get your motor runnin’ Head out on the highway Lookin’ for adventure And whatever comes our way Yeah, darlin’, go make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once and Explode into space I like smoke and lightnin’ Heavy metal thunder Racin’ with the wind And the feelin’ that I’m under Yeah, darlin’, go make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once and Explode into space Like a true nature’s child We were born, born to be wild We can climb so high I never wanna die Born to be wild Born to be wild Get your motor runnin’ Head out on the highway We’re lookin’ for adventure And whatever comes our way Yeah, darlin’ go make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once and Explode into space Like a true nature’s child We were born, born to be wild We can climb so high I never wanna die Born to be wild Born to be wild

“It takes tenacity and daring to travel to the darkest interior of one’s self. Who knows what we might find there?”
“It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.”
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien CBE FRSL (known as: J. R. R. Tolkien) (English Writer, Poet, Philologist, and Academic; January 3rd, 1892 ~ September 2nd, 1973)
“Our dragons are our fears : our day stalkers, our night sweats. Fear of the unknown. Fear of failing. Fear of starting something new and not finishing. Again. Or the real fear, the one that sends shivers up our spines: the fear of succeeding, of becoming our authentic selves and facing the changes that will inevitably bring. We ight not be happy with the way we are living now, but at least it’s daftly familiar.”
“…there is really nothing to fear from self-awareness because at the end of all our personal ecploration, we will arrive back where we started and know in our hearts that we finally belong there.”

“Today, if you feel frightened or unsure about the future, pick up the double-edged sword of Light and Love. Always remember, it’s simple not an adventure worth telling if there aren’t any dragons. But as in the best old tales, at the end of your exploring, you will live happily ever after.”

“I drove the MINI Cooper out of the garage tis morning for the first time since I purchased it last night. Wouldn’t you know it, As I pulled out the garage a warning light came on…”Low Tire”. UGH! I got out checked all the tires and they felt just fine. I choose to drive to work and check the pressure and then reset the light. I think during the detailing a setting malfunctioned. This is new for me to not worry myself to death about something minor. YEAH ME!” (Heather Houston 2-16-22)

“The dragons that lurk in the shadows of our lives can only be slayed with the double edge sword of love and light. Lately, I have been feeling empty in my job. It is not using my skills and I am surrounded by extremely needy people who suck the energy from people like myself. As an empath, I have to buffer myself from people who are vampires. I need to find something that fulfills my purpose and what gifts I can provide the world. Funny how when we age we must reinvent ourselves.” (Heather Houston 2-16-26)

Lyrics: Once upon a time there was a tavern Where we used to raise a glass or two Remember how we laughed away the hours Think of all the great things we would do? Those were the days, my friend We thought they’d never end We’d sing and dance forever and a day We’d live the life we choose We’d fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way La-la-la-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da Da-da-da-da, la-da-da-da-da Then the busy years went rushing by us We lost our starry notions on the way If by chance I’d see you in the tavern We’d smile at one another and we’d say Those were the days, my friend We thought they’d never end We’d sing and dance forever and a day We’d live the life we choose We’d fight and never lose Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days La-la-la-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da Da-da-da-da, da-da-da-da-da Just tonight I stood before the tavern Nothing seemed the way it used to be In the glass I saw a strange reflection Was that lonely woman really me? Those were the days, my friend We thought they’d never end We’d sing and dance forever and a day We’d live the life we choose We’d fight and never lose Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days La-la-la-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da Da-da-da-da, da-da-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da Da-da-da-da, da-da-da-da-da Through the door, there came familiar laughter I saw your face and heard you call my name Oh, my friend, we’re older but no wiser For in our hearts, the dreams are still the same Those were the days, my friend We thought they’d never end We’d sing and dance forever and a day We’d live the life we choose We’d fight and never lose Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days La-la-la-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da Da-da-da-da, da-da-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da La-la-la-da-da-da Da-da-da-da, da-da-da-da-da La-la-la-la-la-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la-la

#29 The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde (Georgie Fame) 👍🏼
Lyrics: Bonnie and Clyde were pretty lookin’ people But I can tell you people, they were the devil’s children Bonnie and Clyde began their evil doin’ One lazy afternoon down Savannah way They went and robbed a store, and high-tailed outa that town Got clean away in a stolen car And waited till the heat died down Bonnie and Clyde advanced their reputation And made the graduation into the banking business “Reach for the sky”, talking Clyde would holler As Bonnie loaded dollars in the dewlap bag Now one brave man-he tried to take ’em alone They left him lying in a pool of blood And laughed about it all the way home Bonnie and Clyde got to be public enemy number one Running and hiding from every American lawman’s gun They used to laugh about dying But deep inside ’em they knew That pretty soon they’d be lying Beneath the ground together Pushing up daisies to welcome the sun and the morning dew Acting upon reliable information A federal deputation laid a deadly ambush When Bonnie and Clyde came walking in the sunshine A half a dozen carbines opened up on them Bonnie and Clyde, they lived a lot together And finally together they died
