Preserving Prime Time

“There are days when any electrical appliance in the house, including the vacuum cleaner, seems to offer more entertainment possibilities than the TV set.”

Harriet Van Horne (American Columnist; May 17th, 1920 to January 15th 1998)

“I do watch TV cooking shows to get ideas for our weekly meals.”

#47 Come and Get It (Badfinger) 👍🏼

Lyrics:
If you want it, here it is, come and get it
Mmh, make your mind up fast
If you want it, any time, I can give it🪄
But you’d better hurry ’cause it may not last
Did I hear you say that there must be a catch?
Will you walk away from a fool and his money?🪄
If you want it, here it is, come and get it
But you’d better hurry ’cause it’s goin’ fast
If you want it, here it is, come and get it
Mmh, make your mind up fast🪄
If you want it, any time, I can give it
But you’d better hurry ’cause it may not last🪄
Did I hear you say that there must be a catch?
Will you walk away from a fool and his money?
Sonny🪄
If you want it, here it is, come and get it
But you’d better hurry ’cause it’s goin’ fast
You’d better hurry ’cause it’s goin’ fast🪄
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Fool and his money
Sonny🪄
If you want it, here it is, come and get it
But you’d better hurry ’cause it’s goin’ fast
You’d better hurry ’cause it’s goin’ fast
You’d better hurry ’cause it’s goin’ fast

A Net For Catching Days

“A schedule defends from chaos and whim. It is a net for catching days…. A schedule is a mock-up of reason and order–willed, faked, and so brought into being.”

Annie Dillard (American Author; January 28th, 1873 to August 3tf, 1954)

“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”

Annie Dillard (American Author; January 28th, 1873 to August 3rd, 1954)

“I live an intentional life and I look at everything I am up to as a joy and not a chore. Even the simplest task of grocery shopping is an ‘outing’ and and event for me and my husband. We get up at 5:30AM and get to the market by 6:00AM. Shoot for a perfect shop by finding all the ingredients on our shopping list for a menu we curated before shopping. We top a perfect shop off with gifting ourselves a donut at our local donut shop. Pure magic!”

#45 He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother (The Hollies) 👍🏼

Lyrics:
… The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where, who knows where
But I’m strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother🪄
… So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We’ll get there🪄
… For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother🪄
… If I’m laden at all
I’m laden with sadness
That everyone’s heart
Isn’t filled with the gladness
Of love for one another🪄
… It’s a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we’re on the way to there
Why not share?🪄
… And the load
Doesn’t weigh me down at all
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother🪄
… He’s my brother
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother

The Gentlest Lessons Teach Us The Most

“What a wonderful life I’ve had! I only wish I’d realized it sooner.”

Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (French Author, Mime, Actress, & Journalist; January 28, 1873 to August 3, 1954)

“If we are willing to learn our lessons gently, they patiently await us in countless ways.”

“Of course, the unexpected often catches us by surprise. But if we are open to and grateful for gentle lessons, new teachers will appear in our path. Serendipity can instruct us as much as sorrow.”

“I feel like the last 8 years in my new life has been full of never ending lessons. Life is a magical kingdom better than any experience at Disneyland.”

#43 Hey There Lonely Girl (Eddie Holman) 👍🏼

Lyrics:
Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Don’t you know this lonely boy loves you?🪄
Ever since he broke your heart
You seem so lost
Each time you pass my way
Oh, how I long to take your hand
And say, “Don’t cry”
I’ll kiss your tears away🪄
Hey, lonely girl
My lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Don’t you know this lonely boy loves you?🪄
But once you’re in my arms you’ll see
No one can kiss your lips the way I will
The way I will🪄
Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Don’t you know this lonely boy loves you?
Don’t you know this lonely boy loves you?🪄
You
Hey there lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely girl (lonely girl, lonely girl)
Can’t you see that I love-?
